NISCL Announces Exclusive Partnership with CIPS to Elevate the Canadian Supply Chain Profession

Toronto, Canada, November 21, 2024 – The National Institute of Supply Chain Leaders (NISCL), Canada’s largest community of supply chain professionals committed to supply chain excellence, is proud to announce it has formally signed an agreement to become the exclusive Canadian partner of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply – CIPS. This partnership is a significant step forward in NISCL’s mission to elevate the supply chain profession in Canada by aligning with CIPS’s globally recognized standards of excellence and supporting the professional growth of its members.

As of May 2025, NISCL members will become dual members of NISCL and CIPS membership at a single, unified rate. This streamlined membership provides Canadian supply chain professionals unparalleled opportunities to expand their expertise, gain international recognition and connect with a community of over 60,000 peers worldwide, of which 16,500 are MCIPS. They can also align their skills and continuous learning journey to the CIPS Global Standard for Procurement and Supply. This competency framework guides professionals at all career levels to develop skills, knowledge and capabilities that align with global best practices.

Representing a community of 12,000 professionals nationwide, NISCL is committed to enhancing employer recognition for the supply chain profession by elevating the profession through functional and leadership excellence. With this strategic partnership, NISCL-CSCL designation holders in good standing will gain access to the prestigious chartered MCIPS designation, placing Canadian professionals on par with global peers and providing a competitive advantage on both local and international stages.
