Executive Sponsor Details

Each application will need to have a corporate sponsor, to validate and support the application and the recorded measurable results and impact, as well as recognizing the supply chain expertise and leadership demonstrated by the individual(s) named as nominees. This could be your employer or someone else in your organization who can corroborate some of the information you are providing. The named Corporate Sponsor may be contacted directly regarding the application.

Eligibility

Private Sector

To qualify for the NISCL Private Sector Supply Chain Team of the Year Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • The Supply Chain team must have been the lead / drivers for the project submitted
  • Project must have concluded within the prior 12 months
  • The project scope must have been within the previous 5 years
  • Individuals or members of a team do not need to be NISCL members but must be in an active Supply Chain role.

Nominated supply chain teams must have been the demonstrated lead / drivers for the strategy and the project submitted. The project must have concluded within the prior 12 months and the project scope must have been within the previous 5 years. Results will include the exemplary impact on the organization, the community/customer or Canadian economy that resulted from the supply chain expertise and innovation, along with the leadership demonstrated by influencing and engaging internal stakeholders and teams in the solution.

Please share your story to illustrate how the supply chain team led a project within your organization that demonstrates Leadership in Action, using the S.T.A.R. (Situation, Task, Action, Result) methodology for story telling by answering each of the questions below.

Your application will be judged by a panel of executive peers who will assess the demonstration of:

  • Supply Chain Innovation and Resilience
  • Measurable Result - Value Creation and Impact
  • Adherence to Best Practices and ongoing learning
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Influence and Inspire Others
  • Leadership in Action – Good Judgement
Public Sector

To qualify for the NISCL Public Sector Supply Chain Team of the Year Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • The Supply Chain team must have been the lead / drivers for the project submitted

How did your team overcome risk aversion, leverage good judgement, design and implement a new solution and what was the role of the supply chain team in leading the success of the project?

Provide empirical data to define the results. Also provide contextual information to support why this result was special.

In the context of Private Sector supply chain leadership, the ability to inspire and engage stakeholders and colleagues is paramount to success. Please share a detailed account of how your team engaged leaders, colleagues, other departments to be champions of the project described above. Describe how supply chain played a significant role in influencing “up” to impact strategy for the organization and get buy in for the project.

Team Award submissions are subject to a fee of $250.00 plus applicable tax

Please note that all individual nominees who are non members will be eligible for the NISCL Early Bird price for the November 19th Gala, for individuals as well as tables.
